THE THUNDERBIRDS DEFEAT THE #20 IN THE STATE RANKED MARIN COLLEGE MARINERS 61-55

In a low scoring game the THUNDERBIRDS stayed poised and defeated the Marin College Mariners 61-55. The THUNDERBIRDS led at halftime 31-27. Good defense, timely rebounds and 2nd half offensive execution allowed the THUNDERBIRDS to come away with the victory.

The THUNDERBIRDS prepare for a playoff implication conference game vs the Marin College Mariners at the THUNDERDOME this Friday Febuary 8, 2013 at 7:30pm. Currently the THUNDERBIRDS are tied for 2nd place at 9-3 in Bay Valley Conference play. The THUNDERBIRDS will appreciate a large fan base for this contest as this game will affect the THUNDERBIRDS opportunity for the state playoffs. Look forward to seeing you all there

THE THUNDERBIRDS DEFEAT THE LOS MEDANOS COLLEGE MUSTANGS 88-80

The THUNDERBIRDS displayed a spirited effort against the Los Medanos College Mustangs and defeat them 88-80. The THUNDERBIRDS displayed solid defense on LMC's 3pt shooters, controlled the offensive and defensive boards and shoot well from the free throw line. All of these components led the THUNDERBIRDS victory.

The THUNDERBIRDS played a lack luster 1st half and found themselves down  5 pts at halftime 44-49. In the second half the THUNDERBIRDS played with improved effort but came up 1 pt short final score Mendocino 88 THUNDERBIRDS 87. Free throw shooting and overall energy and intensity need to be addressed to have success in the last 5 games of the Bay Valley conference season.
