The THUNDERBIRDS had some ups and downs this past weekend at the Shasta College Tournament. The THUNDERBIRDS completed the tournament 1-2.
Yesterday Sunday November 24, 2013 in the consolation championship the THUNDERBIRDS faced the Cabrillo College Seahawks. The THUNDERBIRDS had the lead with 40 sec to go in regulation but emotionalism and poor shot selection took the game until overtime. In overtime poor shot selection and turnovers led to the THUNDERBIRDS defeat 83-76.
THE THUNDERBIRDS WERE LED BY:
(SOPHOMORE) JALIL EPPENGER HAD 20 POINTS AND 3 STEALS
(SOPHOMORE) DAVID ANDOH HAD 19 POINTS, 10 REBOUNDS AND 2 BLOCKS
(SOPHOMORE) ANTHONY KNIGHT HAD 18 POINTS AND 5 REBOUNDS
Saturday November 23, 2013 in the 2 round game the THUNDERBIRDS defeated the Shasta College Knights 97-85.
THE THUNDERBIRDS WERE LED BY:
(SOPHOMORE) ANTHONY KNIGHT HAD 24 POINTS 5 ASSISTS AND 5 REBOUNDS
(SOPHOMORE) JALIL EPPENGER HAD 13 POINTS AND 4 REBOUNDS
(SOPHOMORE) DAVID ANDOH HAD 12 POINTS AND 9 REBOUNDS
(SOPHOMORE) GREG CALVIN HAD 12 POINTS 6 REBOUNDS AND 2 STEALS
(FRESHMAN) DENZEL BELLOT HAD 13 POINTS AND 4 REBOUNDS
(FRESHMAN) MACEO BELL HAD 10 POINTS AND 6 REBOUNDS
On Friday November 22, 2013 in the 1st round game the THUNDERBIRDS were defeated by the Ohlone College Renegades 97-83. The THUNDERBIRDS were out of sink the entire game.
